In April, 2011, I went to Argentina and Chile on a tour organized by Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT).  Our itinerary included Buenos Aires and Bariloche in Argentina, the island of Chiloe and towns of Puerto Varras and Punta Arenas in Chile, and closed with El Calafate and back to Buenos Aires in Argentina.  We travelled for 18 days and it was a busy trip.  The highlights for me was spending a lot of time in the Patagonia region of South America with good weather.

We travelled by plane, boat, subway, ferry, bus, ski lift and horse, but most of our time was in a bus as it is the only practical way to get around.

Patagonia contains some of the most photogenic landscapes in the world along with many glaciers, two of which we visited.

Here are a few of my impressions of the place.
