Images from a recent photo safari to Churchill, Canada. Situated on a part of Hudson Bay that freezes earlier than others, Churchill attracts several hundred polar bears who are waiting to spend the winter on the ice of the bay. They haven’t eaten for months, and living almost exclusively on seals, are anxious to get to the ice where they are able to capture them when the seals come up through their air holes to breath.
